Adrian Kliks received his M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication from Poznań University of Technology in 2005. Since 2005 he was employed at the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications, and since 2007 at the Chair of Wireless Communication in the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunication (as the senior researcher). From 2005 to 2010 he was a PhD student; starting form the 1st of March 2009 he was hired as the assistant, and from 1st of September 2011 - as the assistant professor at the Chair of Wireless Communications.
Between 2006 and 2008 he was a member of the URANUS STREP project realized within the 6th FP UE program, whose goal was to create the universal, reconfigurable transceiver allowing for operation in any wireless standards. After that he was involved in the NEWCOM++ and ACROPOLIS networks of excellence (the former was designated to recent adances in wireless communications, whereas the latter - for cognitive radio), he was partially involved in the COGEU STREP project. Moreover, he was active in two COST Actions, mainly IC 0902 and IC 0905 (known as COST Terra, where he act as the Special Interest Group Leader). Currently he participtes in the NEWCOM# network and national EcoNets project.
For more than 10 years Adrian Kliks is a IEEE member (with the IEEE Senior Member status from 2013), and also he belongs to the IEEE Broadcasting Society and Communication Society. He is a member of a IEEE Standard Association group. Since November 2014 he is a member of Communications Committee and Research Group on Software Defined and Virtualized Wireless Access within ComSoc. Since 2012 he participate actively within the IEEE 1900.x standards' family devoted to cognitive radio. He has a status of Voting Member in 1900.1, where he plays the role of Secretary. (More inofmration can be find here: http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/dyspan/1/index.htm) Since 2014 Adrian Kliks is a IEEE Membership Development/Web Visibility Chair for EMEA region (http://www.comsoc.org/about/boards/member-relations) Dr Adrian Kliks is a scientific supervision of the academic circle Pyralab where students program mobile terminals (http://pyralab.pl/), including Android, Windows Phone and iOS powered devices
His research interests covers the wide spectrum of wireless communications. In particuar he is interested in multicarrier (boih orthogonal an non-orthogonal, OFDM, FBMC, GMC, NC-FBMC) systems, in the area of software defined, adaptive and cognitive radios, in hardware implementation on DSP/FPGA, small cell networks and in radio-planning.
Since 2007 to 2008 he was a member of the PhD self-government at the Faculty of Electronic and Telecommunication and the chairman of the PhD Self-Government at the Poznań Univeristy of Technology. He was the originator of organization and the co-charimen of the organizing committee at the First International Interdisciplinary Conference of Young Scientists InterTECH, which was held in 17-18 June 2008.
He was involved in industrial and international projects (like ICT-URANUS and NoE NEWCOMM++). He acts as a reviewer for journal papers (like ACTA, SPRINGER) and international conference (like VTC, European Wireless, Globecom etc.) papers.
In his private life he is interested in bioethics, mountain climbing, biking, reading the books and "public and organizing activity".
